うにだんごちゃんって？
うにだんごちゃん誕生のストーリー

うにだんごちゃんはかれこれ15年ほど前に私が仕事をしておらずふらふらしていたあるうだるような暑い夏の日に生まれました。


スケッチブックに鉛筆で好きなように色々なキャラクターを描いていた日々だったのですが、うにだんごちゃんが出てきたのを見た時にはインパクトのある元気な女子だなあと我ながら感心してほれぼれと眺めたものです。笑


人生にたいした目的も見いだせず、次から次へと職変えしていく自分。笑　このままでいいのか・・どうやってこれから食べていけばいいのか？そもそも生きている意味はあるのか？などとぼんやり考えていた毎日で、このあまりにも楽天的で楽しそうなキャラクターは拍子抜けするほどあっけらかんとしていて私の中の何かがはじけたような爽快感がありました。


そうだ人生、何でもいいんだ。人生そのものが遊びのようなものだもの。もっと自由に他人の目、世間一般のつまらない既成概念に捉われない生き方をしなくちゃ！と自分で生み出したキャラクターにいつの間にやら励まされていたのでした。生きていこうと思えば健康でさえあれば、とりあえずなんとかやっていけるさとある意味開き直ったのです。


描くたびにまるで彼女が勝手に飛び出してくるような不思議な体験で、お陰で私はかなり精神的に救われたのでした。


どんな物事も心から楽しく、自分に必要だと思ってやっていればおのずと周りの人々をも元気にするのではないか？と遅まきながら思うのです。


うにだんごちゃんはうにのようにまあるく、おだんごのように白い不思議な子です。


うにだんごちゃんが誕生してから時もだいぶ経過していますが、少しずつ情報発信してゆければと思います。


真の意味での自由人！彼女の本質的な性格は、私にとって永遠の憧れ。人間いつ死ぬか分からないけれど、そんな不安定な身だからこそ1日を精一杯、生まれてきた事の不思議さ、喜びを赤ちゃんのような感性（え？相当な年齢でよく言うよ？笑）でうにだんごちゃんと一緒に楽しみたい！そして願わくば彼女の存在で少しでも世界があたたかな愛で満ち溢れたものになりますように。


Who is Uni Dango-chan?

The story of how Unidango-chan was born

Uni Dango-chan was born about 15 years ago on a sweltering summer day when I was out of work and just wandering around.

I used to spend my days drawing all kinds of characters in my sketchbook with a pencil, but when I saw Uni Dango-chan, I was impressed with how lively and impactful she was, and I gazed at her in awe.

I couldn't find any real purpose in life and I kept changing jobs one after the other.

Lol. I was constantly wondering things like, "Is this really okay? How am I going to make a living? Is there even any meaning to life?", but seeing this overly optimistic and fun-loving character was so carefree that it was a real shock, and it was refreshing, like something inside me had burst open.

That's right, life is good, anything goes.

Life itself is like a game.

Before I knew it, I was being encouraged by the character I had created: "I have to live more freely, not be bound by the opinions of others or the boring preconceived notions of society in general!"

In a sense, I decided that if I wanted to live, as long as I was healthy, I would be able to somehow get by.

Every time I drew it, it was as if she were popping out of nowhere, and it was a strange experience that provided me with a great deal of mental relief.I've come to realise, albeit belatedly, that if you do anything with genuine enjoyment and because you feel it is necessary for you, then surely it will naturally cheer up the people around you?Uni Dango-chan is a mysterious girl who is round like a sea urchin and white like a dumpling.

It has been quite a while since Uni Dango-chan was born, but I hope to gradually share more information about her.

A free spirit in the truest sense! Her true character is something I will always admire.

We don't know when we will die, but it is precisely because our lives are so unstable that I want to live each day to the fullest, enjoying the wonder and joy of being born with the sensibilities of a baby (What? That's a lot to say at such an age, isn't it? lol) together with Uni Dango-chan! And I hope that her presence will help fill the world with even just a little bit of warmth and love.
